Book description:
‘These Things Take Time’ is a book of 56 full colour photographs, which captures the meanderings of a life in transit. Taken by photographer Andrew Sandercock and published by Studio LP, this book is a collaborative effort between three friends to immortalise a period of time which slows us down and reduces the noise around us, turning our attentions to moments overlooked and experiences under appreciated. Previously unpublished until now, Andrew’s work capture’s moments others fail to see, bringing to light his ability to find the charm and personality in almost anything, be it a person, an object or a landscape. His talent for capturing everyday life and the personalities that move through it, coupled with a sense of incredible timing, helps to paint an ever-evolving portrait of our existence. Working with 35mm cameras, Andrew’s humble approach conveys a sense of honesty and a feeling of rawness, whilst retaining an air of magic and spontaneity.
