Online Masterclass

How To Edit and Sequence a Photobook with Bruno Ceschel on Vimeo On Demand

Publisher and educator, Bruno Ceschel guides viewers through the complex process of taking a photographic project and editing it into a sequence suitable for a book. He uses case studies of publications he has edited including Fire in Cairo by Matthew Connors, Dalston Anatomy by Lorenzo Vitturi, and Hola Mi Amol by Karla Hiraldo Voleau to unveil the process and decisions that were needed to bring these award-winning titles to life.

Using ideas taken from cinematic narrative construction, Ceschel looks at linear and nonlinear approaches to building a narrative across different genres of photobooks. This masterclass is an opportunity to gain an insight into the key tasks that go into creating a great photobook.

Featuring live interviews with Lorenzo Vitturi and Matthew Connors.
