Screening & Meeting: MEP x SPBH Residency 2022

The Maison Européenne de la Photographie

20 October 2022

Thursday, 20 October: 7 – 8.30pm
MEP, 5/7 rue de Fourcy, 75004 Paris

In June 2022, the MEP launched MEP x SPBH: an unprecedented residency format created around the Self Publish, Be Happy library, collected by Bruno Ceschel and acquired by the MEP library in 2020. The five artists selected – Camille Lévêque , Nicole Maria Winkler, Sara Perovic, Madeleine Andersson and Andy Picci – together produced a collective work, which will be presented for the first time during this event in the MEP auditorium.

The residency workshop led by Bruno Ceschel, took place from June 13 to 17, 2022 at the MEP library. Throughout the week, the artists benefited from the support of the MEP, in particular through technical and logistical assistance, and were given access to the entire SPBH library collection. The five artists have designed and produced together an experimental work at the crossroads of photography, video and digital art, set to music by Jean Tonique, a young talent from the French electronic scene.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the artists and Bruno Ceschel, led by Aurélie Lacouchie, Head of the MEP library.

Online booking is mandatory to attend the event.
