89 young photographers for the Serpentine Gallery’s 89+ Marathon.
Self Publish, Be Happy was invited by Swiss curator Hans Ulrich Obrist to participate in his 89+ project exploring the new generation of creatives born in 1989 or later. Eight of Self Publish, Be Happy’s youngest staff curated a video of 89 photographs from their favourite 89 photographers still young enough to be eligible, all of them found among the Self Publish, Be Happy community and via a call for submissions in British art colleges and on our social networks. The resulting SPBH 89+ video was presented onstage by Obrist during the Serpentine Gallery’s 89+ Marathon, 2013.
