Book description:Stay Home, as well as the accompanying audio cassette and digital video, documents a never-exhibited multimedia art installation. The piece- a wall assembled from televisions, dioramas, photos, paintings, collected ephemera, mirrors the themes touched on in a 45 minute audio piece of recorded phone interviews that played within the installation. All the elements deal with travel- how it affects families, relationships, mental health. It takes a closer look at the myth of the enviable, free and unencumbered traveler from both the view of the one out on the road and the ones left behind. Since disassembled, the book and cassette serve as the final product of the two year art project.
